Reports to the Teller Supervisors.

Position Purpose Responsible for conducting financial transactions for the members and responding to routine inquiries.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties Responsible for processing member financial transactions in a courteous and professional manner.

Deposits and withdrawals; 2.

Accept loan payments; 4.
Sell official checks.
5.
Credit card cash advances Responsible for balancing cash drawer.

Balance cash and checks to system totals.
2.
Maintain cash in a neat and orderly manner.

Completing transfer slips as required by credit union procedures.

Reporting out of balance conditions to supervisor immediately.
Responsible for reporting requirements under the Bank Secrecy Act.

Reporting cash transactions in and out for more than $10,000.

Reporting suspicious activity.
Responsible for granting member access to safe deposit boxes in accordance with credit union procedures.
Responsible for providing backup to the receptionist.
Responsible for processing items placed in the night depository.
Respond to member inquires in an accurate, courteous and professional manner.
Responsible for balancing and processing checks.

Balance checks accepted at the teller line.

Scan checks and submit to FiServ for processing.
Responsible for administering check holds in accordance with Regulation CC.
Establishes and maintains effective communications.

Responsible for providing the Operations Management Team information related to department activities, issues, problems, concerns, etc.

Responsible for reporting out of balance conditions.
3.
Responsible for attending meetings and training as required.
4.
Responsible for working closely with and supporting other departments in the duties described above.
Responsible for ensuring professional business relationships are maintained with regulatory agencies, auditors and business associates.

Maintains the Credit Union's professional reputation.

Resolves complaints, questions, and problems promptly.
Provides assistance as needed.
3.
Represents the Credit Union in contacts with members and promotes a positive Credit Union image.

Qualifications Education / Certification High school diploma or equivalency.
Required Knowledge Basic math skills, currency and coin denominations, ability to use keyboard, mouse and basic software programs.
Experienced Required 1 to 6 months of work experience in any of the following fields:
Financial services such as banks, credit unions, etc.
Cash handling experience Retail sales, customer service.
Skills / Abilities Ability to read and understand credit union policies and procedures.
Ability to take instructions verbally.
Ability to communicate clearly with members, co-workers and supervisors.
Ability to use workplace software programs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
